We are delighted to announce that Charlotta Martinus has joined us as lead teacher for the Teen Yoga CPD in April.
Charlotta is an inspirational yogi and the founder of the Teen Yoga Foundation. She started her professional life as a school teacher before completing her degree in modern languages from UCL. She trained to teach yoga within the Sivananda tradition.
As a result of her experiences in education and a desire to share the benefits of yoga and mindfulness with teens Charlotta started Teenyoga in 2004. She was supported and encouraged by Jo Manuel of the Special Yoga Foundation. In addition, she worked in collaboration with many colleagues within medicine, osteopathy, psychiatry and psychology.
Furthermore Charlotta and the Teen Yoga Foundation recently presented the findings of their Hippocampus research. This was a European wide survey of the impact of teaching Yoga in schools on young people.
TEACHING YOGA & MINDFULNESS TO TEENS – 15TH-19TH APRIL
Accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals, the teen yoga course was designed to inspire professionals who work with young people. It gives them the tools to use yoga and mindfulness to better support young people.
Charlotta devised the course as a result of her 30 years of experience working with young people as an educator and yoga therapist for mental health. Evidence based, the course gives solid and clear examples of what works when sharing yoga with young people.
The cost of this 5 day intensive training is £599 per person.
