How are you? Seems to be the question on everybody’s lips at the moment, more common than usual.
I think that we are in a time where we are re-learning how to communicate with each other in a way that we have perhaps forgotten. Busy lives and busy minds meant that we were running at 110% in order to feel achievement, purpose and fulfilment. Is that true at the moment? I certainly feel all of these things still, but I’ve also realised that taking the time to ask how someone is has never been so important.
Yes, we’ve all been in bad spaces in our lives where relationships, finances and health have all been at risk for one reason or another. This is different. This has called for a pause in time, to re-think, re-focus, re-charge and get things moving in a way, I for one, never saw coming. I’ve learned that I can personally see ways through, and I’ve learned that people around me can adapt, perform and succeed in times of absolute chaos. This is what I find so brilliant about the human race. We have the ability to come together, help each other and demonstrate that even the neighbour you have only spoken to twice, is now calling you every week for a catch up. “How are you?”
As you know, I am all about yoga. Yoga is what makes me who I am today. I hope that by now you have had chance to get your free online class. I truly believe that yoga is for everyone, and that no matter what age, size, colour, gender, ability or otherwise, you can do some element of yoga in your life! And it will make a difference to you. If you have tried it, then I hope it stays with you for a long time. As they say, yoga once a week changes your body. Yoga twice a week changes your body and mind. Yoga three times a week changes your life.
If you’re in need of an activity to boost your feelings, help with sleep, relax or just unwind during this time, please come and join us for some yoga. Currently we have 30 classes across our weekly schedule, and we’re introducing our Sunday Selection, which will be special one off classes from guest teachers. Try it, you might just fall in love and keep it for life, like I did.
